Anyone watching the highlights of the City v Spurs match last night will have witnessed Mr Bennett’s Red card nightmare and wondered “just how does he have such a high profile job in football?”
Yet again Steve Bennett seems to be able to make terrible decisions but still keep getting high profile matches to “officiate”.
The challenge from Didier Zokora on Elano was at the very worst a Yellow card, yet Steed Malbranque two footed lunge later on was deemed to be less severe.
I know referee’s have a pretty difficult job but why when some are suspended for a week after making a bad call, does this self obsessed imbecile continue to go unpunished.
