Just got in from seeing Hot Fuzz at the Odeon in Lincoln and all I can say is WOW.
As a fan of Simon Pegg for many years I must say I was particularly looking forward to this film and it did not disappoint me in any way.
Ever since I first saw Spaced, Simon Pegg has been one of my favourite comedy actors and along with real life best friend Nick Frost and writing partner Edgar Wright has gone on to form one of the most successful comedy trios of our generation.
Right from the off Simon’s stony faced portrayal of PC Nick Angel had me hooked as this film took the typical English booby and turned it on it’s head.
With a superb cast of actors encompassing pretty much every corner of British comedy and many, many homages to popular culture, this film scores highly in my book.
Although I enjoyed Shaun of the Dead, I never thought it was as good as it could of been and so it was brilliant to see Hot Fuzz reach the heights I was hoping it would.
I could probably go on and on singing the praise of this movie but it is getting late now so all I will say is….
“This sh1t is off the chain”
If you haven’t already seen Hot Fuzz, go and watch it ASAP, you will not be disappointed.
