Now my hangover has gone….
Well, England did it again, great first half performance but rubbish in the second.
Can’t really blame the conditions this time as Germany has seen a bit of rain lately, so we should be right at home.
I cannot really understand why we consistently fail to beat the Swedish team, yes they are a good side, well organised but surely man for man they are not a match for our current crop of players. Anyway apart from the injury to Michael Owen, things didn’t turn out too bad, top of the group and undefeated.
So on to Ecuador, one of the dark horses of the tournament and what might prove to be just as much of a challenge as the Germans would have provided.
England normally raise their game as theses things progress so hopefully we can look forward to staying in the tournament for a while longer….
