After his transfer request yesterday, rumours are abound that Joey “THE CIGAR” Barton is set too shock the footballing world with a move to UNITED. Sources close to Barton have revealed nothing, apparently too scared of retaliation at the next Christmas party….
I can’t really see this transfer happening as although UNITED do need to bolster their depleted midfield ranks, Barton does not look like the sort of player who would wish to join them.
After CITY standing by him through his various off the field escapades, it shows a distinct lack of respect for the player to put in a transfer request.
We will see….
